Vision Sunday
Values and Vision 2022
Values within an organization are very important. Values describe the core ethics or principles in which an organization abide by, no matter what. Strong clearly-articulated values should be a true reflection of our identity. Values help to inspire, give direction, and serve as a reminder as to the culture of who we are and how we do things.
Our Values:
1. Faith - We are strengthened by and challenged to inspire in others growth and maturity through knowing, trusting, and serving Jesus. (Heb. 11:6)
2. Family - We promote unity among the believers through studying, learning, and growing together. We support and encourage one another. (Gal. 6:2)
3. Fun - We aim to keep laughter common place. Mission is better pursued with laughter. Having fun builds community. (Prov. 17:22)
4. Fellowship - We fellowship because it makes us stronger. Fellowship reminds us that we are not alone. People want to belong and fellowship provides that. (Heb.10:25)
Our Vision:
Let’s grow together!
God is moving His church here at FC into a season of focused growth and maturity. Although true growth and maturity is an individual choice, we want to provide opportunities for this to take place. We will be implementing new opportunities for this through an added service, specific subject matter material, suggested readings, and more.
Starting January 9, 2022 we will be starting a growth and development gathering in the main sanctuary starting at 6pm.
Pat, Kim, and Pastor will act as your curators. We will be available to recommend material or other helps that you might need for a particular issue or subject matter that you might be facing at any certain time.
Pastor will be recommending each month throughout the year what he is reading or has read that will help to grow and encourage you while on your faith journey. We will also give special attention to and for the Bible App.
Continue to promote and engage Sunday services, other ministry services, outreach opportunities, and LifeGroups.
Missions and Outreach:
With the exceptional giving that we saw last year, we do not expect any different this year in how and who we reach out to. This year Fellowship will be giving to and reaching out in these areas and ways:
Missions:
* We will give $3,000 to Light For The Lost.
* We will give $3,000 to Church Planting and Development.
* Our students will give to Speed The Light for an amount to be determined.
Outreach:
* Every fifth Sunday we will have burgers and baptism.
* There will be a Mens event in April and a Women’s event in June.
* We will serve our teachers at Wellborn and Coldwater elementary schools throughout the year.
* On September 7 we will have a SERVE day for our community.
* On October 30 we will have a community involved Fall Festival.
* Bicycle Bonanza!! This year we want to give away, near Christmas time, 100 bicycles to children.
End of the year numbers:
Missions:
* Giving for 16 sponsored missionaries = $8,400
* Special missional projects including Speed The Light = $21,624.82
Total in missional giving for the year = $30,024.82
Salvations and Baptism:
* There were 37 people that received Christ as their Lord and Savior.
* We had the honor of baptizing 16 people in 2021.
